So I just finished watching the Roger Clemens interview on 60 Minutes, initial reaction is kind of indifference for me. Everything he said is in line with what he has been saying since the Mitchel Report was released. In what seemed like a canned interview between two long time friends, below are some key points and information (or lack there of) from the Clemens interview.

• Clemens is very angry and upset he is not getting the respect he thinks he deserves.
• He got to where he was and played for so long through hard-work - that’s it.
• Clemens looked visibly uncomfortable at various points in the interview.
• Greatest quote from the interview was when Clemens responded to the amount of steroids Brian McNamee injected into him: “..if he is doing that to me I should have a third ear coming out my forehead, I should be pulling tractors with my teeth.” And you thought steroids only gave you small testicles.
• Clemens denies everything that McNamee said.
• Steroids are a “quick fix” and why did his body not break down after his alleged use.
• The “Balls of the Year” award goes to McNamee for calling Clemens up says before the Mitchell report was released asking about fishing equipment he could use.
• Clemens is going to rip George Mitchell’s and Brian McNamee’s head off - hmmm roid rage? Joke.
• Clemens was completely shocked to learn about Andy Pettitte’s involvement with steroids.
• Clemens pinky swore with Wallace that he didn’t get injected with any illegal substances.
• He was eating the anti-inflammatory drug Vioxx like they were skittles…mmm taste the rainbow.
• Clemens didn’t play his career to get fame or goto the hall of fame…its nice but not who he is. Insert question mark.
• Clemens would say the same things to congress that he said during his 60 Minutes interview.
• Clemens would take a lie detector test…even though if he doesn’t know if they are good or bad.
• Clemens is probably retiring..maybe.

So the end result? Still don’t know if he is lieing or not…let’s see what he says to Congress.
