The Arizona Cardinals and All-Pro wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald have agreed on a new deal that will keep the talented receiver in Arizona for awhile. The deal the Cardinals and Fitzgerald signed is for 4-years and is worth $40 million - the deal will free up much-needed salary cap room for the Cardinals.
Fitzgerald will make $33 million over the first 3 years of his contract - he was scheduled to make close to $15 million in 2008. The deal will allow the Cardinals to sign much needed roster players with the $9 million it saved in cap space for the 2008 NFL season.
Fitzgerald, who was the 3rd overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft, caught 100 passes for 1,409 and 10 touchdowns during the 2007 NFL season.
